a movie that’s talking but not really saying anything

i had high expectations walking in but they were somehow exceeded. this film was so beautiful with such a relevant and inspiring message told in such a loving and creative way. in a society where cassandra feels unseen and mischaracterized, she struggles with an extreme way of thinking- she speaks in “always” and is haunted by anxiety regarding her future. as a journalist i am always attentive to how the news is portrayed in film: news is such a good way of showing what’s happening in a character’s world and this movie does something cool concerning how the news is often manipulated by larger entities. this move argues that the consumer and worker and sometimes even the corporation are being equally taken advantage of and the only solution is to “accelerate the chaos” and disrupt the system as a larger collective. everyone feels alone but we can be alone together and make real change. a beautiful film with a beautiful message that i’ll never forget. seriously cannot praise this enough.
