The Lighthouse

What a wonderful movie !! The lighthouse tells the story of two lighthouse keepers who tries to live with each other on a remote island. The first seven minutes without any dialogue pull you right into the mystical atmosphere, helped by the use of long gorgeous shots of the island and of them working. Robert Eggers took a bold risk by having only two actors in the whole movie and it works really well, Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson gave amazing performances (probably the best I’ve seen from them so far) especially in their argument and fighting scenes showing the psychological breakdown of both of them as isolation and tension push their relationship to their limits. Really loved it 👏🏼👏🏼
