Frankenstein
At first i was kinda skeptical and closed off to the idea that Jacob Elordi playing such an important and famous gothic character. I was actually surprised with how well he did. Toro adaptation is definitely different from the book but it was still so beautifully done. The settings, the costume, the makeup, the visuals and the thing that made me the most shocked was Mia goth “Elizabeth” wedding dress. It left me so gooped and gagged because that was genuinely the most beautiful dress i’ve ever seen in my life. Victor created him, not a monster but someone, and left him all by himself with no knowledge of the world and no one to support and guide him, yet in this adaptation he was still such a good person with no ill intentions unless he has been attacked first. ( SPOILER ALERT !! ) He did forgive him in the end. I know that the “monster” has been so kind throughout the movie (this adaptation) but Victor shunned him and the world away from him, he should have let victor to suffer till his last breath. Victor created him with only one purpose and it was to conquer death, but when the “monster” LIVED he did nothing. Even though his purpose was filled he should have planned the aftermath and ugh i kinda dislike how victor only had some kind of humanity towards his creation only on his dying breath. The “Monster”, was so alone and I felt so much emotions for him, it was actually so sad whenever he was alone, rejected and gotten hurt by other people because he was just “different”, he still had human emotions, human parts and has humanity more than most characters in the movie, ugh it was so sad to watch him. Ugh but in the end, the argument against him forgiving Victor could because he mostly has been living in such a harsh, cruel, environment and emotions, he just wants to feel peace moving onwards.
