When I saw the movie title, the first thing that came to my mind was why is the title blair witch and not blair witch 3, as it's the third edition in the franchise. But then I saw the movie and I understood why it's not a 3. That's because IT'S EXACTLY THE SAME STORY AS PART 1 (and also because it's a reboot, BUT WHY). Frame by frame, same premise, same pacing, same everything. Except for the new time loop bullshit they did just to make this look like a smart horror movie. At least part 2 did something different, it really picked up after part 1. But this was just a sci-fi bootleg kind of shit of part 1.

Despite the bad acting, horrible dialogues, and camera work straight from the darkest depths of hell, I enjoyed this, maybe a lot more than I should have. It almost felt like a parody of emo goth horror movies but at times, at some places it really struck gold. Definitely a little better than the first part.

an evil possessed child plot twist would have been less traumatic than this. low-key made me contemplate about the bear or man debate.
