i am so deeply grateful that i am alive at the same time as damien chazelle. but so disappointed and tired to be alive at the same time where a film’s greatness is discarded if it isn’t bleak and understated and the entire plot relies on how well an actor with an off putting bone structure can frown.
he has the most beautiful attention to detail and i do believe he is the most exciting AND the greatest thing happening in art this decade (i actually mean of all time)
as a general rule i only really truly love things when you can tell immediately the person who made it NEEDED to make it. and a film 15 years in the making deserves infinitely more than the disappointed reception it received.
!!just say you’re fucking boring and don’t appreciate glamour instead of taking it out on the most wonderful and passionate creator OF ALL TIME!!
