Sultan
it was such a nice movie. first time seeing something on the bigger screen. loged salman khan and anushka sharma.
my first ever movie theatre experience.
it was monsoon vaccations of my 2nd class; 2016. i had gone to my maternal aunts house in delhi. on the last day before the departure to home we went to see a movie. me, mom and dad and my elder sister.
before this i had never seen anything on the big screen. all my movie knowledge had come from normal tv. and the dvds, some pirated some original. i eagerly read the latest movies being shown, on the back of newspaper(kangra keseri; sub newspaper of punjab kesri). i had got to know about various films from that section, from "Captain America: Civil war" to "rings".
But first time I was going to see a movie, in the cinema hall. I was so excited that day.
The movie theatre has been shut down(i read this sad news today) was in moti nagar.
Fun Cinemas, Moti Nagar, New Delhi.
I still remember the theatre complex was visible from the metro station. We went and got our tickets. I think so another movie, Dhishoom was also being shown at that time but thank god we didnt see it.
There was some time in the show, we went around and bought two flags of India.
Also ate chole bhature.
When it was almost time, we went inside. And when the lights went down and the movie started it was truly amazing. I havent experience anything like this in my life.
There is also one such memory related to Sultan. My dad had this "9 app" store on his phone, there was a game in that phone about Sultan but I never got to play it because the data pack finished before the completion of its download.
But i think so going to that place and thinking about it really feels so good and nostalgic.
I am overwhelmed by this feeling and maybe this is what truly means to go to the movies.
