Babylon
I had the opportunity to discover Babylon for the first time in the cinema three years after its release.
I didn't necessarily expect to like it because I'm not really a fan of Damien Chazelle, but the film surprised me with its audacity and beauty. I had a great time and really loved the characters, who all embody a state of mind (ambition, decline, nostalgia, etc.).
The film is visually excessive with its huge sets and color palette, and the soundtrack is one of its pillars: it's cool and, above all, frenetic.
Three hours of film may seem long for the average viewer who watches movies just for fun, but for someone who is truly interested in the seventh art that is cinema, it is impossible not to love this work or find it too long!
