*Never in my 18 years of life consuming Horror media have I been this terrified while watching a horror film.* These new and young Horror film directors know what they are fucking doing dude. They know EXACTLY what scares the younger generations because they grew up with the same Internet Horror that we did. Their are so many inspirations from old analog Horror in this film that even new analog Horror has not been able to replicate but this film did it perfectly. Ever since I was 7 years old and watched some random YouTube video of a women doing a makeup tutorial and randomly smashing her face into her table It has traumatised me and always been something in horror that gets a visceral reaction out of me. And this film did just fucking that. I have never covered and held my face tighter than in this film. The tension build up was slow and random, you had no idea when the next jumpscare or whatever was going to happen it. You knew it was coming you just had zero idea WHEN it was going to happen. The techniques used to make Nikki's character so horrorfying were absolute masterclasses. Whatever they cooked up for when she would walk backwards like in stop motion sent my stomach into fucking knots dude. Horror as a genre is currently peaking in this day and age.

Had the privilege of seeing someone's first time watching this film and it was like seeing your Babies first steps I imagine?

*This made the drive home a genuine NIGHTMARE* Yhis film was quite similar to Silent Hill but if Silent Hill was set in a haunted hotel room i liked it! The countless TikToks I watched hyping this movie were right, this dude knows how to make an atmosphere! It all came down to the sound design and his cinematography i think. The best example I can give is whenever Adam Driver's character was exploring the Honeymoon suite. There was little to no sound, Driver wasn't talking to the audience like a moron to keep retention rates up or whatever, there were random moans and groans that could possibly be passed off as like the wind or old house sounds it was so scary. Idk what it is with this director and rabbits but god does he make some scary looking humanoid rabbit things dude, that jackrabbit character is engraved into my mind already dude. However, the film had a pretty slow start and I think they should've done more with the supernatural elements of it with the witch and everything.

*This is undoubtedly the BEST Dragon Ball movie of all time.* The main focus of this movie is to create an actual character for Broly so that he can be alongside the main characters in the anime and they did it perfectly. Broly's character has been perfectly crafted in this movie, you can sympathise with this Broly, you CANNOT sympathise for Z Broly. Watching Broly use a technique or move after seeing Goku or Vegeta use it ONE TIME is such a cool feat for Broly. The choreography in this film is unlike any fight scenes in any form of media I have ever seen. I would highly recommend watching someone on YouTube analyse this film's fight scenes because they are genuinely masterfully crafted. The cinematography in this film is masterfully crafted. The animation is masterfully crafted, it's both rough, crisp and smooth at the same time it is perfect for Dragon Ball. The colour this film uses really differentiates it from Super's colouring through there use of soft pastel colours instead of the really bright and blindingly ugly colouring of super. And don't even get me STARTED on how legendary the voice acting for this film is in both sub and dub. But yeah peak Dragon Ball movie.
