i think it's very meaningful that wil didn't kiss vivian in front of a bunch of strangers, but then was brave enough to kiss her in front of a circle of people who knew her already, showing just how much she developed, knowing how much she had to lose, but still doing it because she loves vivian. i also think that this movie perfectly depicted silence and awkwardness between a mother and a daughter who love each other but are both afraid of opening up. their relationship really touched me and i'm glad wil read that goddamn letter! by the way, awkward loser lesbians, let's thank wil for representing all of us! thank you, alice wu. the lesbian power that you have!!!
