The Thing

A masterpiece in Science Fiction horror in every aspect. Just upon first view you’re able to tell the groundbreaking effect this has on the landscape of movies. The practical effects are unmatched to this day, truly grotesque and hideous looking creatures yet my eyes never looked away. The paranoia and atmosphere built through out was masterful and unlike nothing else.  One of the best horror movies I’ve ever seen with some of if not the best practical effects. Kurt Russel was fantastic and John Carpenter was directing at the top of his game.
