Zootopia
"you come here, unannounced, on the day my daughter is to be married. i trusted you, nicky. i welcomed you into my home. we broke bread together, grandmama made you a cannoli. and how did you repay my generosity? with a rug, made from the butt of a skunk. a skunk butt rug."
in my wacky disney era lessgo! probably the most vivid memory i have of being in a movie theater back then. all my love partly bc of the nostalgia, partly for the twist, and partly for the dynamic between judy and nick. oh, and when i got that godfather reference this time? that's called spending too much time on letterboxd. stripped down, it's still an allegory for racism and all that but eight-year-old me obviously did NOT give a fuck and just enjoyed the pretty places they went to. also, gidget from the secret life of pets is bellwether? jenny slate was pretty much my childhood innit?
