The premise of the movie by itself was amazing, a sheep that has to solve the murder of their Shepard by working with an incompetent policeman. We need more of these original ideas instead of remaking every existing ip there is. This was such a beautiful film that delves into topics of grievances and also loneliness. The winter lamb parts were so sad I’m so glad they accepted him in the end.

Going into this film, I tried to keep my expectations low as people tend to overhype "indie" films, but honestly, this film blew me away. At the start, it felt like those typical Rom-coms where the loser guy gets with the girl of his dreams, which was unusual for a horror movie, but it worked as it set up the relationship between Nikki and Bear. Nikki did such a great job potraying her self before and after Bear made the wish. She basically had to play two characters, which is extremely impressive. You can immediately tell when the real Nikki took over and when the "fake" one did. She deserves an Oscar nomination for this performance. The one wish willow is such a mysterious element of the story. I'm so excited for Curry Barker to delve more into it in his next film, and I really hope we can find out where the real Nikki was when the entity was taking over her body. Bear is such a complex character, and that makes him so human. He has his selfish desires in wanting to try too hard to make his relationship with Nikki work while also dealing with the morality of the situation. I love how they didn't try to make him extremely evil but instead made him human. You can tell he wants to do the right thing but is a coward, which makes him such a well-written character.

Okay upon rewatching it was a lot more enjoyable for me. I realised I may be nitpicking at certain flaws of the film instead of just enjoying it and that’s my bad. This is a really fun film with some flaws story wise but nonetheless very fun and enjoyable.
