I'd been wondering for a while if someone would ever make a film where nothing happened except static sequences, little to no movement, no music, nothing at all. Just a compilation of long shots of mundane actions, still shots showing exclusively the landscape or the film's sets. Would people watch it? Would people like it? The idea seemed promising, calm warm and certainly a unique experience, but too pretentious and difficult to execute. Well, I just got my answer after watching this film that reminded me of the autocar 45min stop at Ouad Amlil of the 8 hour long late night road trip where you can't help yourself but wander your eyes around and see what the passengers are up to until the autocar gets on the highway again.
