Hyphen

i am not one to write reviews and my thoughts are jumbled right now, but i am in awe and still slightly recovering from the beauty of life and the essence of human connectivity in this film. i really feel like my brain is speaking another language as of now, but to briefly confess my thoughts: *despite the noticeable and many spaces between Jamie and Makoto, they are more so together than with any of anyone throughout this film. as if even with them not touching, they are already touching. they have already connected even without touch. because words fill and not dull, and in belief, for them that is more than enough. * ps. as a filipino (who likes to consume jap media as well) and is also from the province, this film really spoke to me. i can't fathom that i've missed it when it was still showing. i loved it very very much.
