I actually enjoyed this, pretty good apocalypse movie! I always base apocalypse movies from 3 things, infection, pacing and storyline. The infected were actually really well written, I thought the way it started was really interesting I’ve never seen that before in media. Also certain characteristics I liked about the initial infected; they don’t like light and wont typically come out in light, I actually didnt know the movie was based from the book and that the ‘infected’ are supposed to be vampires. Honestly in the movie there more infected/zombie like, however zombies and vampires crossover alike characteristic wise and I like the aspect of infected vampires.. However the GCI for the infected weren't great. The pacing is pretty decent, although I feel like the storyline got a little weak when Anna comes in ways it just felt a little predictable. I liked the storyline, lonely guy in an apocalyptic world with his dog. The portrayal in loneliness was pretty well done. The atmosphere throughout this was so haunting beautiful, and I loved the glass turning into the shape of a butterfly. I always find it so interesting when animals turn infected in apocalypse movies. Although something I just didn't really understand, how are they immune? I don’t believe it was shown unless I missed something. Although I like the aspect of the infection also being airborne.

I really love Andrew Garfield, I think he’s a fantastic actor. He works decently well as Spider-Man. I really like the design of lizard, and he’s an interesting villain, The fight scenes were really fun to watch. The cinematography and visuals in this film, absolutely brilliant!! The web slinging scenes, I love it. I also gotta say, i’m so glad they got rid of MJ she’s annoying af, Gwen is better. The only issue I have with this movie, the pacing is absolute ass. Everything was just so rushed, which I hate especially for a movie 2 hours. The whole parts where uncle Ben dies, so rushed. It felt like Peter didn’t even grieve him. The first 20 or so minutes, it’s great; but after that it just falls with the pacing. As much as I love Andrew, he’s definitely my least favourite spidey, but I dunno if its the writing and pacing that throws me off it. Otherwise he’s like I’ve mentioned, a brilliant actor,

*I’m tired of people being ugly to eachother. * Wow. That was fucking incredible, such a beautiful yet heart wrenching film. This was so PERFECTLY made; the pacing is on point. I love the way it starts of, and the ending. The entire story line is absofuckinglutley incredible, that plot twist!! Tom Hanks performance in this is absolutely fantastic I have no words. All of them sobbing at John’s execution GOT ME 💔 My favourite was Dean, and him sobbing at the end 🥹 me too Dean me too. Absolutely despised Percy, poor mr jingles!! The ending is actually depressing, and I like that. Overall this film is absolute PEAK cinema and I wish I watched it sooner!! The acting, the writing, the cinematography, the pacing absolutely everything is top notch.

I found vol 2 to be way better than vol 1, but honestly I am just not the target audience for this. I can definitely see why people love these movies so much but I dunno 🤷♂️ I cant cope with majority of the foley usage, like the fake fighting sounds and even all of the fake looking fighting shots. However, I really like b&w colour grading usage and kill bill 1 & 2 has some very interesting, and mesmerising camera shots.
