Obsession

This film is a masterclass and horror and suspense both on a craft level and performance level. This film has a brilliant use of shadows and lighting that always feels meticulous and purposeful. Also the cinematography is always so tight and claustrophobic to where (mixed with everything else) creates such a visceral experience. Also the sound design is absolutely amazing here and is so visceral. Also Inde Navarrette as Nikki is beyond incredible in this film. She is giving a very loud performance through big explosive moments but also a very subtle performance through terrifying facial expressions and movements. Also how the performance manages to snap back and forth through various emotions, incredible. Can’t say enough good things about this performance. Also Michael Johnston does a great job here as he continues to get into these worse and worse circumstances because of the wish but he continues to go back to Nikki till it all comes to the end it’s an insane finale.
