Parasite
Absolute banger. Bong Joon-ho’s magnum opus. Starts off light and hilarious—the peach scene alone is genius, and that “Jessica, only child, Illinois, Chicago” chant is iconic. Then the vibes shift hard once the old housekeeper shows up you can feel something sinister lurking beneath the surface. The basement reveal is pure cinematic mastery, with the shot down the stairs in an almost first-person perspective and the music captures the dread of their situation crumbling. Perfection!
