Early on this movie really works. Set design is incredible and some really cool ideas introduced with Clark’s character but the movie kinda falls apart for me in the back third once we hit the dinner table scene. Just feels like we kind of got there so quickly and the relationship between our 2 main characters fell flat and underdeveloped. It was pretty good and then all of a sudden it lost me with some weak/rushed character development.

Very good! I feel I’m not in love with this movie as much as other people from what I’ve seen but it still had some great things going on. Anne Hathaway is incredible and gives the strongest performance. Tom holland was actually pretty solid which was good to see from him even though he would get “out acted” in a few scenes for me. Matt Damon was great but I don’t think it was a generational performance and while Robert Pattinson was very good I thought his character was a little one-note. The costume/monster design, boat scenes, and the cinematography were pretty great for the most part but I felt the scene specifically with the cyclops was supposed to give a horror or fear element which didn’t fully hit for me as it felt the music was building to that. The opening of the movie was very slow and thought there was a bit too much of an exposition dump early on and I kind of wanted things to get going a little quicker. Once we got into the adventure of Odysseus the movie really picked up ( The Troy scenes were excellent and the callback at the end giving more realization to his image of Athena and how war and oppression took a toll on his self identity was well done which added to the beggar stuff at the end). Very good! They didn’t need to keep beating the bush on Zeus’s law as it is vital to what’s going on however I felt Nolan was pushing it down the audiences throat a little bit to where I felt disconnected as the characters kept talking about it but for me it was like I don’t need a reminder for this constantly. Overall, some characters were underdeveloped and Travis Scott took me out of the experience a little bit but a great viewing that was worth the watch. I didn’t love it but still very good! However, job well done Nolan as this is a very difficult story to adapt to the big screen.

That was lame😭. Reveal was so underwhelming and the AI use was ridiculous
