I've never felt so seen in a film.
The mix of so many different genres put Into this beautiful film made me want to cry happy tears. I love the characters in all their "basic" glory. Marot Robbie was the PERFECT choice for Barbie. Not to mention ken as well who had a very almost silly but still enjoyable hard arc in character. This movie mad emergency want to laugh, cry, and punch some people at some parts. I love the way gerwig put together all these different components and made it feel so warm to watch. Sitting in a theatre with generations of women, young to old, all Experiencing this film together, not knowing each other but still enjoying it felt great. I loved the nostalgic feel to it, I'm only a teenager but I still saw dolls and things I had in my early childhood that felt good to see. After this movie I went home to my mother and told her how much I appreciate her and everything she has done for my family. This movie will go down in records. GIVE GRETA ALL THE AWARDS SHE DESERVES!
