Everything about this movie is great. Performances, set design, cinematography. It’s one of those complete films whose greatness comes from all its aspects, how everything comes together perfectly. And it tells a beautiful story that nearly brought me to tears.

A hauntingly beautiful rendition of one of the most famous Arthurian tales. The green knight is both horrifying, beautiful, hopeful and depressing. David Lowry delivers and outstanding film which, while being quite different, captures in its own way the essence of the legend it is adapting. With great performances from its lead actors especially Dev Patel.

An Actual review Christopher Nolan’s directing really shines through, the use of practical affects give a real and physical feeling to the Greek world he creates. Camera work, the atmospheric elements are immaculate and some of the best of his work. Along with standout performances from Matt Damon, Pattinson, Zendaya and surprisingly Tom Holland. However criticisms of the costume design and set elements still stand, and a major loss off this movie is the blandness of its costume and set design. The work put into the atmosphere and setting is harmed by this, and some other strange casting choices (especially Bernthal as Menalaus) and the twist of the sea peoples was especially bizarre to me. The odyssey is a great movie, but it is great in spite of its flaws, not due to a lack of them
