alchemy of souls would be in my top 4 • [more favs](https://boxd.it/fIukk) *it's sick right? well sick is the new sane*

This film has made it back to my Top 4 Favorite Films 💯 which funnily 3/4 of it stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead 🩷 I had only recently discovered that Royal Pain's suit was supposed to be pink & gold but was most likely changed to make the "Royal Pain is a woman?" reveal less obvious—which actually makes sense, but the pink would've looked so good!!! No wonder Gwen's homecoming dress was pink with gold detailing. Also had no idea that the film had an alternate opening, which made a lot of missing pieces make sense, since the scene made it to the final cut only as a flashback. But it would've added clearer context for the overall film if it had been kept. Like genuinely, I wasn't aware Royal Pain's sidekick was called Stitches...or that he was the one who raised her because he was there when she got turned into a baby when the Strongholds got ahold of her Pacifier. A lot of these small details were only mentioned briefly in the film. Something that didn't make sense to me though was how fast Will changed up and suddenly was in love with Leyla...because prior to his crush on Gwen, it seemed that he only treated her platonically. It happened way too fast and I wished we had more time to see if Leyla and Warren actually had potential because I was rooting for them. I wish we had a spinoff show of some sorts because I really loved the sidekicks friendgroup dynamic. I also felt so ragebaited over Will's decision-making ngl but I guess he's a teen who didn't know any better...

Watching this at an older age makes me feel the emotional weight of the film even more, like it's just tragic...

I've only watched 2 K-dramas where Jung Hae In just so happens to be the male lead and are both times the softer one in the relationship, to the point that I constantly forget that he's a gangster here 😭 His face is just so naturally innocent. Felt as though much of the things in the beginning had plot holes, like why hadn't the hospital or police investigated more onto who she actually is? With pictures at least, even when her fingerprints are gone. I mean she was a pretty well-known prosecutor right...but I guess in the logic of the story, if that had happened, then this whole drama woupdn't have happened 😂 But overall, this whole drama is actually so wholesome and enjoyable nonetheless. Btw it's so funny how Eun Sae didn't believe she was dating Tae Ha because he wasn't Cha Eun Woo 😅 #relatable

When Frances said "don't forget to smile" it was really actually Zendaya hat (Hatdaya) speaking...Robert Pattinson was next in line to become the victim of the hat ofc~
