I didn't know anything about Dennis Nilsen before watching this but what an interesting and unnerving story. I think the highlight of this has to be David Tennant's performance as Nilsen. His acting is amazing and I was genuinely unsettled at points watching him act. He's also the spitting image of the real Dennis Nilsen which is kind of freaky. For a series driven by dialogue the writing is brilliant, I especially liked one of Detective Jay's last lines when he says "Do you know the worst thing, I don't smell it anymore". I feel like this shows the immense emotional strain on Detective Jay, in fact all 3 episodes are really good at showing this. I really liked the cello music, it was very eerie adding to the grim story. The cinematography is a bit Netflixy, quite dull with no colours particularly standing out, I would say that is the major negative.
