Mean Streets
This might just be my second favourite Scorsese film, it reminds my of an older GoodFellas but more realistic with the characters feeling a lot more real. The characters in this are great, Johnny Boy and Charlie have such a funny relationship and them and Tony are a very entertaining group of friends to watch. The acting is great but its crazy how similar De Niro and Harvey Keitel looked. I love the soundtrack especially the intro to the film with "Be My Baby" setting the vibe for the whole film. The camera work in this is amazing when Johnny Boy walks into Tony's bar with the two girls. I also recognised the camera technique used when Charlie is pissed as Guy Ritchie used it in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, one of my favourite gangster films. This is just such an entertaining film with slick lines great camera work and entertaining characters.
