Is Kevin Spacey just playing himself in this?? His performances is really upsetting and gave off real serial killer vibes. This has got to be up there from my favourite thriller, probably tied with Zodiac. Fincher really can make a great thriller. Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman made a great a pair although I wish there relationship developed a bit more. Sad to say but Spacey's performance in this is amazing. The plot was also good, constantly chilling and intense. The concept of the 7 deadly sins is really interesting and creates such an insane motive for the killer. At first I didn't like how John just gave himself up but I think it actually played into his psychology really well. John was actually a really interesting character, his apparent admiration for the detectives and his persuasion to be shot just to complete his mission were chocking and intriguing. Then of course there's the box. I actually guessed early on what it would be but not that it would be hers so it was still really shocking. The plot really does just pull you in and keep you entertained from beginning to end. Absolute cinema! **Sound & score - 7/10 Acting performances - 10/10 Plot & pacing - 10/10 Writing - 10/10 Cinematography - 7/10 Personal enjoyment - 10/10**
