What a masterful performance from Cate Blanchet; from poise to desperate she owned every single scene. I think there were quite a few times I totally thought this was a documentary about a 'Lydia Tar'. I truly wish I saw this in a cinema, what they did here with the sound was incredible, all through most the film there was a lurking chord following us with every single scene and it was thrilling and signaling something tense. The Orchestra felt like the score of the movie, I felt like I hit a jackpot with this film; on one hand I am witnessing the politics of an industry, the effects of over ambition and ego all through one medium. The camera work! UGH!!! The locations! YES. Wonderful. Wonderful. Wonderful.
