Train Dreams
Here's to one of the greatest form of art: Storytelling. Here's to the absurdity of being a human on Earth. Here's to trying to make sense of it all while knowing nothing. This was beautifully stitched together with a great narrator taking you through it patiently and intentionally. The cinematography felt like a reminder to look out there, to stay grounded. The Actors all breathe life into the characters so effortlessly. For a movie this slow, the pacing was just right and keeps you hooked all through. It definitely brought me to tears but not sad tears, just tears of how fucking absurd living is and how experiences even when told through fictional characters are all magical. Definitely one of the best films i’ve seen this year.
