Gummo

I went into this film wanting to dislike it, but I can’t lie, it was a fun watching experience. I didn’t focus much on plot (if there is any) nor on any subliminal messages, and it was still rather fun to watch. As an aesthetic, I dislike the whole “white trash” vibe, but even so this film was shot in a way that I really enjoyed. One thing that I found really annoying, though, were all the singing scenes, especially the “song” (or lullaby, whatever it is) during the opening scene. That being said, I will likely never re-visit Gummo again, but it’s a good film.
