Dear Ex

The story was so beautifully told the way it slowly reveals information to you and every little detail becomes meaningful once given context. I loved the way that each character is neither villainised or victimised. Every person has their own story and we’re all just trying live and love. I think the portrayal of each characters thought process and emotions was so complex and nuanced yet i really related to parts of the relationship dynamic between chengxi and his mother. This is genuinely such a great movie that is heartbreaking yet gives me hope about people’s ability to reconnect or come to understand one another. Also the soundtrack was rlly good.
