Love Letter
Sooo this is my second movie from Shunji Iwai and the other movie (All About Lily Chou-Chou) i watched from him was a good introduction to his filmography and I went in expecting a bit less. But now as i finished Love Letter, it got me thinking; why I’m so attached to this film compared to the other ones similar?
now that i’ve came back from a walk i can say how i feel
i say this bout like every Asian movie I’ve watched and i tend to glaze heavily but this is now my favourite movie liek ever (recency bias probably, hopefully not). It has left me in an emotional attachment i’ve felt with other movies I watched (ex: About Time, 2013). Cinematography, characters, themes and storytelling is all complimentary to each other— unique in their own ways which crafts a movie i see is perfect and is impactful to me. Also left me flipping broken neb like my heart brocken 💔
I don’t think this perfect to others, but this has me emotional in ways I cannot describe. Extremely happy i watched this.
Or maybe everything just better in Japan or I need a job🙄✌️
