I feel bad giving something less than three stars, but I couldn’t justify giving it a full three. The premise had a lot of potential. While the 'killer app' concept in a horror movie has been done before, the werewolf twist added a unique touch. Unfortunately, the acting was a major letdown—it felt pretty cringeworthy at times. That said, I'm a sucker for fun teen horror, so I did find some enjoyment in it. I also want to mention that I don’t mind the amateur makeup and special effects. As a huge Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan, I’m used to a bit of silliness in costumes. That said, it is 2024, so I can’t help but wonder about the budget.
