Imagine my excitement when, while scrolling on Youtube, I find a video titled "Cleopatra (1918) - Lost Film." Finally, after all these years they've found Theda Bara's most desired film! Several new minutes of footage of one of the most wanted lost films ever! It's a miracle! I can't wait to click on this and-
Oh, wait. That says Cleo*patsy*. Whoops.
This is a parody of the Bara film, shot a year after the original film it makes fun of. In a way, this is also a forefather to the modern parody film, except that (in comparison to most parody films) it's funny at times. Hey, any found film is a win for preservation and film history. I'm not complaining.
Check out the surviving footage of *Cleopatsy* in this neat restoration job here.
