As far as the Isaac Florentine + Scott Adkins pairings go I thought this went pretty hard. Just a good old fashion no thrills direct to video flamethrower. It’s Adkins playing an American just pursing vengeance on a facet of the Mexican cartel that’s stolen his niece, yup I’m sold. The action is unsurprisingly outstanding and the takes are pretty long compared to other Florentine movies I’ve seen, the camera is actually putting in some work here. You’ll be happy to know when premier stuntmen aren’t beating the shit out of each other, gunshots are being fired relentlessly and it’s great. Sets are taking damage constantly in such a fun way, looks like they used some squibs too so how can you not love it.
