Devi Putrudu

Been revisiting a lot of older Telugu movies recently, so decided to watch this after my mom said it's worth a watch. I loved the core concept of the film and the eeriness it exudes, but felt the first half of the film is literally quite random. The screenplay is a mess in the first half and is all over the place. Even the comedy is essentially kind of bum which is rare for Venkatesh. Now, once the conflict is introduced and we get into the flashback that is where the movie picks up and works. I loved the ideas Kodi Rama Krishna went for and if he had a more coherent screenplay, specifically the first half it would've been such an amazing fantasy horror film. I loved Venkatesh (in his flashback) and Soundaraya as always.
