This is an early film that challenges the concept of capturing reality through a camera, anchoring heavily on the conceit that the mere presence of a camera and the camera operator means that the reality that's being captured is altered, and until the film acknowledges the full reality, it isn't being forthright. Interesting but sometimes cliche, *Guy* says more than you'd expect and Vincent D'Onofrio is endlessly enigmatic as the central character, even when things begin to get really dark towards the end. It's a really unique and interesting film and anyone with any interest in mockumentary should check it out.
