Hellraiser: Hellseeker

In my review of **Hellraiser Inferno** i talked about how despite it being a script that was loosely changed into a **Hellraiser **movie you wouldn’t be able to tell much, here you definitely can, this is the first of the **Hellraiser **movies i would 100% just tell you to avoid, It’s more or less a carbon copy of **Inferno**, but with all the good moments drained out of it, all the cool new Cenobites, yeah they get about 10 seconds of screen time, all the lore we’ve built up and the rules surrounding the box, forget it because the writers of this movie sure have, it’s a movie that tries to be a lot more clever then it is, but it’s pretty clear once again what’s more or less going on here, terrible camera work, poorly lit, stock soundtrack and sound effects, it’s dull repetitive and boring for the first 40-50 minutes, while **Hellraiser **has always had overtly sexual connotations that wasn’t a invite to make a movie like this which is 80% soft core porn, **Ashley Lawrence **is here as **Kirsty** but it’s just to grab people’s attention, she gets less screen time then the Cenobites and it’s a massive departure from her character arc in the first two movies, the only saving grace for this movie (as is probably the case with the last 2 entries he’s in) is **Doug Bradley **as **Pinhead**, he always delivers a wonderful and engaging performance, despite not having much screentime in this one he manages to immediately take over the film and make the final 15 minutes somewhat bearable,

Uma cópia piorada do anterior que já era ruim, prometeram o retorno da Kirsty, a protagonista do 1 e do 2 para ela sumir e o principal ser o marido dela, um personagem desprezivel e desinteressante; o filme tem a mesma pegada de mistério psicológico mas o filme é raso e cheio de flashbacks e momentos confusos além do ritmo arrastado e massante apesar de ser curto, nem o Pinhead ou a Kirsty salvam essa bagunça, aqui já mostra como essa franquia nunca foi bem explorada e nem deve ter mais a agregar apesar de ainda ter mais 5 filmes pela frente.

Ich mag die Richtung, in die die "Hellraiser" Filme gehen. Weg von epochalen Geschichten und hin zu einer Anthology Reihe. Teil 5 war wirklich gut, und dieser Film führt das Konzept weiter. Leider ist er wirklich schlecht. Plotholes, keine Spannung, die Mystery ist nicht interessant und die Verknüpfung zum Anfang der Reihe wird verschwendet. Absoluter Müll leider. Trozdem ist das Konzept gut.
