After **Revelations** nearly killed me off I’m back** **with the **Hellraiser **series, not with a bang but with a whimper, this is the best of the sequels since **Inferno** but that’s really not saying much,
Honestly the first 15 minutes or so would make a great short film, i love the new additions to the lore of the **Cenobites**, I’ll admit it feels a bit stupid that there in what looks like a trap house but overall I found everything else to be in line with the **Hellraiser **series, **The Auditor **is a great new character and the whole new presentation of how the **Cenobites **operate is really cool, we are seeing a new side of the hell dimension and it’s actually quite disgusting, I found myself having to look away, **The Assessor, ** **The Cleansing & The Surgeon **is disgusting in the best way possible, and I’ll admit for a little bit I thought this could be a hidden gem in the series,
Then the rest of the movie happened, it’s another take on **Se7en X Hellraiser** or something similar like that with a big murder mystery, I’ve lost count how many times we’ve seen that, and if that wasn’t bad or boring enough, the big twist/reveal was guessed by me in 30 seconds, because they couldn’t of made it any more obvious if they tried, it’s filled with shitty writing and it’s just a massive slog to sit through, I can take or leave the ending, not sure how I feel about it, on paper it’s not bad I just think it could be the movie it’s attached to, I don’t think the new **Pinhead **is amazing, he looks ok but his voice isn’t right, still it’s a massive step up from whatever the fuck we got in the last movie,
I’d argue the first 15 minutes or so are worth your time, you can feel the low budget but overall it’s creepy and disgusting but a Interesting addition to the lore, anything after that in this movie however is probably a waste of your time, it’s a step up from what we’ve seen since **Inferno**, but I wouldn’t waste your time on watching the whole movie
