I added this to Letterboxd! ☝️🤓
Because there is NO info online besides the imdb summary that I copied and pasted on letterboxd, I figured I’d do more of a summary than a review:
When a Rose Hardin’s lesbian daughter announces she’s pregnant with her and her partner’s child, Rose is **pissed**! Her and her daughter are both artists, but daughter Dee is an up-and-comer. Rose felt she had to give up her work to raise Dee, and when she learned her daughter was gay, she had thought Dee wouldn’t have children and would be able to pursue the career that Rose missed out on.
Upon learning of the pregnancy, Rose crashes the. fuck. out. She starts putting holes through the walls of her house and painting like a madwoman! This reinvigorates her artistic passion. When the work is finished, Dee loves the painting and they reconcile.
In the end, the short flashes forward. Dee brings her own child to meet Rose at the titular *Open Studio*, and helps Rose set up for a show of her new paintings. A sweet ending!
