jacobJuly 1***RAGTIME THE MUSICAL @ THE VIVIAN BEAUMONT THEATRE AT LINCOLN CENTER ON BROADWAY*** **“go out and tell your story, let it echo far and wide. make them hear you.”** once again, not the movie but the stage show. i don’t think i’ve ever been so emotionally moved by something as i was by ragtime. joshua henry the man you are. OH MY GOD. he fully deserved that tony AND MORE for playing coalhouse walker jr.00
Csegef6.0June 20In the beginning I realy like the tempo of the film but towards the end it became a bit "still". I had a hard time to understand the role of the model's, director's and many other character parts of the plot. They've been abandonded and reintroduced many times throughout the film. In the end I was left unanswered, and I still doesn't understand why those characters were important for the plot. There's a slight chance that I wasn't that observant but I have a feeling that the director/writer had to cut huge subplots from the book to fit the length to a reasonable one.00
Lars Vermeire9.0May 12Sure, it's a bit too long in some segments, but seeing these really well written American characters all together in a film was so nicely done. You just need to give it a shot!00
