Best 5 hour of my life
Great drama, well cast, well acted, and very well made
But it has many small errors and some major changes that alter the real story
It’s entertaining tho
Exaggerated demonization of Dyatlov, Fomin and Briujanov that’s carried throughout the series
Basically, it was largely the Soviet government’s responsibility since the RBMK reactor was built to prioritize efficiency instead of safety
It wasn’t just one person’s mistake, it was a bigger system failure, poor design, lack of transparency, pressure from higher authorities, and mistakes by the operators all contributed to what happened.
