The film is a modest reconstruction, summarised very much in a few pivotal moments of Caesar's political career, which lingers a little too long on some points, leaving behind the protagonist's personal history as a Marian exponent, his possible participation in the Catiline conspiracy, and eliminating important characters such as Cicero, as well as that of Octavian.
Excessively rhetorical and emphatic, even on a directorial level there are some inaccuracies, such as the editing that gives no chronological coherence, as well as some scenes in which the photography changes from shot to shot, failing to give uniformity to the scene.
