binged in a day... surprisingly, kept me hooked on the storyline or at least aspects of it. i'm not particularly into pre-1990s settings just as a preference. sylvia is an immediately unlikeable character tbh and i couldn't stand her for the entirety of the show. tietjens is a weird one to me it's a little jarring as to how everything is ok for sylvia to do, christopher covers up for her, but the minute the notion of his unfaithfulness is floated about, he's an absolute villain.... he's also so unrealistically forgiving in the face of all that bullshit. i find it interesting that sylvia basically does all this for his attention, i feel that she wants tietjens to snap and show a different side of himself. i don't find her excuse of being chaste for 5yrs to really mean anything icl....... not my wife though!
benedict cumberbatch is already delivering unbelievable acting in this series ... SICKENING !!
