*Delete white phosphorous! *
When you put a bomb on the wheel, it should be expected that you'll eventually trigger it, I just hadn't expected it to happen so soon. Luckily Parallel World Pharmacy wasn't *that *bad, it's really just boring and a missed opportunity. If it focused on medicinal practices and procedures alongside running a pharmaceutical shop within a (not terribly unique) isekai world, this could have actually been a bit interesting as the scenes where that occurs are by far the best.
However, episode one just completely derailed those possibilities by immediately giving Falma essentially God powers like an eye that can observe any ailment and the ability to fucking create/delete matter. Like, what is the point of super cheat powers for the show that's about making medicine and helping people with ailments? Oh wait, it's so he can just easily burst himself out of any and all conflict which frankly has no business existing; there are unnecessary fights with rival pharmaceutics, religious inquisitors, and an insano man trying to purposely spread contagions into the capital. The Black Death itself is a suitable villain enough, I do not need Mr. Plague rambling on about pure nonsense while Falma kicks his ass with epic authority.
That rant makes it seem like I disliked the show more than I did, I thought it was perfectly average and inoffensive, although it so easily could have been more.
