Wonderful, wonderful stuff. Yet another home run season of gripping crime drama from HBO where character development is always at the forefront and beating heart of the narrative. Mark Ruffalo is a treasure. Jeremiah Zagar further demonstrating his ability to find such truth and vulnerability in the human condition through his directorial approach. I felt it profoundly in his debut We The Animals and it translates strongly here. He’s a serious filmmaking talent to look out for.
