How the fuck do a bunch of lower budget, chibi, Uma musume shorts have better charactization than the big budget, non chibi, project sekai movie? They both have the same writer 😭 Even just everyone fearing Kris S and her thinking it's everyone being nice to her is way more character development and fleshing out than the entire sekai movie in just five minutes. Fuck, even just the lines "my laifu is waifu and sometime's a girls gotta do what a girl's gotta do" from episode 17 and "Uma musume are heaven's gift to idol simp" from episode 23 have more character than the whole sekai movie. Yeah I liked Anges Digital quite a bit whenever she showed up. The brief montage in episode 4 adapted the gameplay loop of training the umas too but to be fair I don't really know how you could directly adapt a rhythm game's gameplay loop unless it was some sort of team effort saw trap or something. Overall watching them all back to back got repetitive very quickly and by the 3/4 mark I was already wanting it to end but the episodes aren't bad they just get quickly repetitive.

Very much enjoyed seeing the gags that, while I know most of the irl orgins for them because I've heard them before or seen clips of the actual horses, are for characters that aren't on Global or are support cards that I don't read the scenarios for (I play on 2x speed and quicktime because it gets that repetitive and takes way too long to read each time, sue me). It was very fun to see these characters I know less about, and kinda get a glimpse into their personalities, even if it is just a chibi comedy. Still wondering why Symbloli Kris S just has a sniper as her skill.
