Prey

My favorite release of the summer so far. Amber Midthunder leads the film brilliantly and effortlessly. The underlying message of the film was subtle, while still being perfectly clear, and no less impactful. Additionally, Dan Trachtenberg’s direction elevates the experience beyond any other entry in the franchise thus far, while still honoring the legacy of the action/thriller-centric films that came before it. Fingers crossed that I might be able to indulge in this experience as a theatrical release in the near future.
