Salem's Lot

i think this is one of the most underrated horror movies ever, genuinely this shit is SO fucking overlooked and for what? it's actually so good, i only believe that this is so overlooked due to its runtime which in my opinion wasn't even that bad and it rlly was necessary too add to the atmosphere this movie provides. this probably has one of the best horror atmosphere since like the shining or (this is a bit of an over statement cause nothing comes to close to this) twin peaks..not rlly but it's atmosphere is very cozy like twin peaks. i fucking love the makeup in this movie and the vampires design is one of the most underrated things in any movie ever, i think this is my favourite vampire design. the pacing of this is deliberately slow but it works in its favour creating a lot of needed suspense and tension that just unloads in the second half with all the vampire shit and it just turns into one of the best horror movies ever. this is obviously an adaptation of a stephen king novel which i haven't read myself but this movie is rlly making me wanna read it. i rlly liked the soundtrack in this aswell, rlly out there and that opening intro was amazing. i think the cinematography is very ehhhh, the first half the cinematography was actually amazing and it was rlly good at creating this ambiguity in the town and then in the second half i rlly don't know what happened but it was js so off. this is my first tobe hopper movie and im so happy this was my first because this was a great introduction to a "horror legend" a rlly good movie with some amazing makeup. just overall good but very underrated  good movie
