Dìdi (弟弟)
thirteen was like the age where I gained consciousness and started actually choosing what to do in my life. I learned things I never knew about, looked further into the outside world once in a while, went through an entire identity crisis, and made some pretty bad decisions because I couldn't yet fully understand my own feelings. it was simultaneously the highest and the lowest point of my life. it's a period of time that i occasionally miss but never want to relive. this movie rlly dived into that experience.
there are some scenes that rlly struck home for me. when didi's mom signed him up for a course behind his back without asking him first but he ended up going anyway, or when didi sat in vivian's room after she left home for college, it reminded me of how still the house felt when my own sister left for college :')) and now its my turn!!!! time is flying by so fast
