what i really love about this special is how it perfectly encapsulates that period of time, that post-lockdown depression, the state of misery we were all in, the anxiety and everything that came with it. It still holds up perfectly, but you can clearly tell that it was made at that time, in that moment, and rightly so… Watching this now, it’s like being transported back in time, and even if i don’t really look back at 2020 with fond memories, i did start to feel a bit nostalgic, maybe for the fact that when i saw this special for the first time, i was a completely different human being, i felt nostalgic not for the person that i was, but for the fact that everything felt easier then, even with all the mental health related issues that the lockdown came with, i was much more carefree and lighthearted… and i kind of miss that…
