Avengers: Infinity War
"I just feel you."
I'm officially killing myself, like this was grounds for suicide. why would anyone ever get invested in the marvel fandom, knowing what happens? why was that ever a conscious decision I made? I didn't HAVE to watch these movies; I didn't have to start liking all the characters. why did I do this to myself? I don't think I have ever sobbed more during a movie, my throat genuinely hurts.
"the sun will shine on us again."
I was not prepared for this movie because tell me why one of the first scenes is thor watching his brother die. I beg your finest pardon. should've just clicked off after that, honestly.
I feel like this movie provides proof that everyone has someone to mourn in one way, shape, or form; even the most cold and calloused of people have at least one person they care about the most.
"mr. stark... I don't feel so good."
oh peter parker, all his stupid movie references made me tear up a little, because why is he so me. no one can tell me otherwise peter parker would have a bomb ass letterboxd account. rip peter parker you would've loved letterboxd.
the whole time I was watching this movie I was just texting my friend "I'm, not watching this, I'm not watching this." I hate this, this is so upsetting, all I can think about is how upsetting this must've been for marvel fans when it first came out, and not knowing what happens next.
*"I went forward in time, to view alternate futures. to see all the possible outcomes of the coming conflict."
"how many did you see?"
"fourteen million six-hundred and five."
"how many did we win?"
"one."*
at first when doctor strange literally gave him the stone, I was so confused, like hello?? doctor stephen strange, my favourite ever, what on earth are you doing, blud, and then it hit me, he saw all the futures. oh doctor strange they could never make me hate you.
*"well, there are people who're expecting me too. you know we both made promises."
"not to each other. wanda. for two years, we've stolen these moments, trying to see if this could work and... I don't know.. I--but--you-person. you know what, I'm just gonna speak for myself. I-I...I think that I-I... I think..."
"It works."
"I-It works.."
"It works."
"stay. stay..."*
*"look at me. you have the power to destroy the stone--"
"don't."
"you must do it, wanda, please. we are out of time."
"I can't."*
wanda and vision make me physically ill. I'm going to throw up, they're my favourites ever, I love them so bad. I always thought that she didn't destroy the infinity stone with vision--because I was aware that thanos got all the infinity stones--but the fact that she DID and thanos just rewound time makes me sick to my stomach. fym I had to watch vision die TWICE. when he was reassuring her?? don't even JOKE lad. salt in the wound when he said "we are out of time." don't do this to me, don't bring me back.
the fact that when everyone was being blipped, they all looked confused or were upset EXCEPT wanda, she was relieved.
"steve?"
also tell my WHY bucky barnes my beautiful princess was the first person I had to see fade away. and tell me WHY his best friend, whom he had just reunited with, had to watch.
this movie knows exactly where and how to tug at your heart, no, not even tug, they've ripped my chest open, stuck their hand in, full force, uncaringly, dug around and just ripped out my heart before stomping on it.
"not him."
the fact that quill was so ready to keep his promise to gamora, that he was actually going to kill her hurts my heart so bad, starmora, my parents ever. I love starmora so bad.
