Interstellar
... - .- -.--
I can't believe I ever subjected myself to watching this movie, oh my god. this movie is so beautiful and tragic, I genuinely stopped myself from watching it like 49 minutes in cause I was so bored, but then I noticed it was being removed from netflix so I decided I was going to finish it and holy fuck.
"today's my birthday. and it's a special one, because you told me... you once told me that when you came back, we might be the same age. and today I'm the age you were when you left. so it would be a real good time for you to come back."
the drive and love cooper had for his children, I mean holy fuck. he did all of this for them, and I genuinely have never been so upset, yet also so moved.
*"cooper, they didn't bring us here to save the past."
"say that again?"
"they didn't bring us here to save the past."
"they didn't bring us here at all.. we brought ourselves."*
I never thought I would be uncontrollably sobbing at a movie, and then checking and seeing it has more than an hour left. are you JOE KING. this movie genuinely hurt me so bad.
"make him stay, murph. don't let me leave, murph! don't let me leave, murph!"
I didn't anticipate any of the twists, the betrayals, genuinely everything in this movie was so unexpected and beautiful.
